About Me

I'm motivated by new experiences and cultural exchanges. I find happiness in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, learning foreign languages, spending time in nature. I'm excited to share my own culture while embracing local customs and ways of life. I hope to build friendships and create lasting memories :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I make a distinction between a tourist and a traveller, and I like to think of myself as the second type. The most important part of a foreign culture is its people, who you can meet here and not in a hotel room. I also love explaining my own culture to others, and that's one of the reasons why I chose to study abroad at an international university. At the moment I'm not able to host people myself, but I'm very willing to show them my hometown - Krakow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like ballroom dancing and enjoy music that can be danced to, especially 80s/90s music. That pretty much rules out jazz or metal, but I do like to listen to classical music or trap from time to time. My favourite movies are action and disaster movies like 2012. I also like to watch documentaries about nature and travel. I don't read much, but I do enjoy podcasts or audiobooks, mostly about psychology, politics and news.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned Italian to a communicative level thanks to language tandems during my studies abroad. In exchange for Italian, I offered German, which I'd learnt at school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages are a passion of mine. I've been a German (occasionally English) language tutor for a few years now. I also have experience of conducting group language lessons for a student organisation. I'm always excited to improve my language skills and am particularly keen on enhancing my Italian, French, and Spanish abilities. Immersing myself in a language-rich environment is, for me, one of the best ways to learn, and I'm eager to practice with native speakers

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my own culture and the experiences of all the countries I've visited. I enjoy discussing history or surprising my hosts with Polish or German cuisine.

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey
