About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet as many new people across Mexico as possible.

ABOUT ME

I write comedy for television, direct documentaries for HBO, and make horror movies for the theaters! I'm always on the road filming or doing something. Sometimes I follow a dog around for like six hours just filming it haha. But it can be terribly isolating and I am too outgoing to be cooped up so let's go on adventures!

PHILOSOPHY

Too blessed to be stressed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel across various countries filming movies and tv shows. I'm currently traveling across Mexico for another documentary and realized how much I am missing out on by not connecting with people. I'm holed up in hotels and airbnbs and it's just not the same. I miss the dense conversation, adventures, etc, so I'm back after a hiatus and can't wait to connect with you!

I would love to share footage from my movies as they're being shot each day, have deep conversations, cook together maybe, go on adventures, cenotes and hikes, museums, restaurants. I want to dive into Mexico and absorb the language, culture, and people as thoroughly and deeply as possible.

I used to Couchsurf before I knew it even existed. So, it's really always really great to know there's an actual site with safeguards from the crazies :)

Interests

Movies, baseball, comedy, anything athletic. Love improv comedy, telling jokes, watching movies and tv shows and then discussing them afterwards. Good times with good people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Boston Red Sox opening day in 2004 and saw Ray Charles perform "America the Beautiful" in the pouring rain. The game was rained out and he still came out and performed because he's a PRO.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're in California, we can go surfing, show you some trails, meet some people, shoot a movie, film a sketch, have a party, pull some pranks, and then ride off into the sunset!

If I'm in your neck of the woods, I can share some cool filmmaking or photography tips, movie, tv, and book recommendations, and have deep discussions about just about anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share stories from my time on the road filming my next project. I've been traveling across Mexico shooting a documentary about street dogs for National Geographic. In three months, I've gone From Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico City, to Cozumel, and now Cancun!
