About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To nurture a meaningful existence.
ABOUT ME
I like it call myself an "Existential Investigator", my job is to find out what gives meaning to life and facilitate experiences to emphasize that.
I am also a sociologist, physicist, adventurer and bike mechanic.
PHILOSOPHY
We shape our reality through the stories we tell. Choose your own adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've got the pleasure of having surfing couches all over eastern and western europe and the united states.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My best couch surfing experience was with a Iranian Nueroscientist in Trieste, Italy. Although he was busy, he put us up for a week, and when he had other guests, he even found us a place at his friends house to stay. We still talk at least once and month and have the most brilliant cognitive adventures I could ever imagine. He also took me for a night swim in the Adriatic Sea!
Interests
Currently I'm writing a paper of the psychology of beliefs, this is infinitely fascinating to me. I also like conversations about religion, perception, physics, history and culture. Also, climbing trees and getting new perspectives is how I like to spend my time. Listening to music and audio lectures as well. Oh and reading. And skateboarding!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Santa Sangre, The Holy Mountain, Harold and Maude, Face/Off.
Books: Anything by Hesse, Nietzsche, Yalom and Kafka. I read a lot of non-fiction now, specifically social constructivist theory. Yum!
Music: Opera, prog rock, blues, soul.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing to the top of a bell-tower in a cathedral in Portland and eating a coconut with one of my favorite people.
I once sat a 10-silent meditation retreat- and I havent been bored since.
I created a philosophy club in Seattle and Berlin called Existentialists Anonymous- some previous topics have been on the meaning of life, dreams and belief.
Teach, Learn, Share
I study how people create meaning in their lives. I am particularly well versed in existentialism. I also know a lot about dying, religion and bicycles.
