About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a life with meaning & be compassion toward others

ABOUT ME

I'm single, just bought a wee flat after wandering NZ and other parts of the world. I'm doing up my flat, so its a work in progress, but certainly livable. I am a pretty laidback person, love my family & friends, creative and love listening to music. I'm pretty family oriented and have good relationships with my extended family. My relationships with them contribute to defining me. I work too hard and forget to plan my holidays, which get eaten up by study related workshops, which is something I want to change now and in the future.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a work in progress and think that life happens haphazardly. To live in the moment and be open to experiences is a philosophy that is gaining strength within me. Family is important to me. I'd have to think some more about this...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS2 Project and still sussing it out. I love the philosophy and looking forward to learning more and contributing to this worldwide community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, apart from what I've done on my own to open my home to new friends and old friends from around the world.

Interests

I'm into creative pursuits, chilling to music, getting out into nature, spending time with family & friends. Im working toward a psychotherapy qualification (Transactional Analysis)...which is a journey of discovery and challenging to boot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loved Paulo Coelho's books, especially The ALchemist. ALso Stephanie Dowrick books...?The Sacred Heart?. Love the movies - The Piano, Tarantino's True Romance. Music - lounge, drum n bass, jazz/blues, R&B, and alsorts of music from other cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thought white water rafting was pretty cool. Moving overseas on my own was pretty brave. I felt humbled when I visited up North with my Aunty to get some of her whakapapa. I feel honoured to be included by my Maori relatives to share their culture. Hmm, I think I need to do some amazing things so I can share these with you.... watch this space.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm, I could teach creative pursuits, maybe counselling skills is something I could share. I'd love to learn salsa and alsorts of creative pursuits. I will have to think some more about this and what I can offer others... and want to learn.
