About Me

Hey, everybody!

I'm Rafael, a 30-year-old Brazilian living in London for more than 3 years. I regard myself as someone caring, solicitous, dedicated and always willing to help. Beside of that I am also very tidy. I hope that counts. Have been always fascinated with meeting new people, places and cultures as well. I know some languages quite well and have recently been learning some others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm absolutely new to CouchSurfing. I've heard of it through some friends of mine who told me the website to be really helpful; moreover it's always great meeting new people and expanding our network outwards from where we live. It's like enjoying the good things the world has to offer much further ahead than only traveling.

It's not about only getting somewhere to stay at all. I think we've got so much to share, learn and see!

Interests

I'm a keen football fan, but have also been into some other sports like athletics and basketball. Music, history, beside geography and politics make it all when it comes to other things I'm fond of.

  • working out
  • politics
  • traveling
  • music
  • sports
  • basketball
  • soccer
  • geography

Music, Movies, and Books

Some music genres like 80's, 90's and pop rock generally, as well as alternative are my favourite; I'm open to other styles though. Some movies like October's Sky are really inspiring; others like Cutthroat Island make me travel back in time. Adventure and action movies are the best, in my opinion.

As to the books I've read; The Da Vinci Code, The Lord of Rings and The Roots of Brazil are the ones I'd reccomend anyone to at least have a look at.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having learned all the languages I know on my own.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach the languages I know and have a really good time spent on talks and tours. For an approach I think that's a good start!
