If you are new to Couch Surfing or skip a lot of the information provided looking for a host, please feel free to read the rest of my "About Me" at your earliest convenience and ask any questions (like amenities I have) to make sure you enjoy your stay and have a great experience. Couch Surfing is a social networking app and I am proud of the experience and hospitality I have to offer my Couch Surfing guests. And I am on Couch Surfing to offer just that. Please do not request if you are here just to save money. (For example: If you're the type that gets a free hotel room with free shuttle rides, food, and hotspot, then go on Yelp to complain they didn't have a washer in the room, this is not the right fit for you :)

However, if you're looking for great company, a safe place with no roommates, in a safe neighborhood, and someone to show you around town or go on a spontaneous adventure with you somewhere in the region, I'm definitely your guy! I'm a very open and respectful person and love to learn about other cultures from different regions or countries. I am educated in New Mexico history and make a great host to learn about everything New Mexico. I'm a licensed teacher and also work in healthcare in a large hospital. I have several college degrees. I have a perfect background and driving record. I'm one of the most generous and genuine people you'll ever meet.

I have a large studio apartment in the downtown and University area (also known as an In-Law suite) so I'm super close to everything. I'll give you a free ride to both! I have a sectional that folds out into a large bed, or is big enough to fit two people on its own. Check out my couch photos for a picture of my place, a thank you letter that I received, and pictures of me and several people that I've hosted from all over the world. If you're wanting to travel around the region (Southwest U.S.) and I have off, I can drive us, or if you have a car I'll gladly join you.

I'm very outgoing when you meet me and can have a conversation for hours. Last minute and late stays are welcome. I've let people come as late as 3am. Message me and we can work something out. Up to 3 guests are welcome, although 2 is the perfect fit. M-F I'm usually available and some weekends. I'll be glad to show anyone around town. I do everything possible to get great reviews. My neighborhood and home are safe and you're always welcome to feel at home. ****The only thing I ask in return for your free stay and my generous hospitality is: If there is anything that I can do better to improve your stay you must let me know. Allow me the opportunity to make your stay better and to earn a good reference. If there is anything that I can do I am happy to do it. Keep in mind I will read your reference before I begin mine. It's only fair, please be fair in return.

If I'm hosting or surfing, I'm almost always up to go hangout or go hiking. I also have a local friend that owns a flower and art shop in an old church that we can go hangout at after they are closed to customers. My guest from Russia and the U.K. went together and they provided great hospitality by making us free drinks and even took us out to eat for free. Both of them had the greatest time in Albuquerque! See attached pictures. This place is beautiful. Also, If you're only here for a night and don't have much time, that's fine too. If you wanta snack you're free to grab anything I have to eat here for free. Sometimes I'll have more stuff then others depending on how many Surfers I've had over lately. I'm 2 miles from Greyhound and 2 blocks from the airport. By sending me a request you agree that if there is anything you need during your stay you will ask me beforehand to make sure I have it :). For example, I do not have wifi, but I do have hotspot you can use for free up to 8 gigs when you are within range of my phone. Thanks!

🐱🐱 NOTE: I have a cat and a temporary kitten. Everyone loves them and they are super friendly! If you're even the slightest bit allergic please let me know so you don't chance having a reaction. If you do not like cats, then please let me know upfront, this may not be the right fit for you. Thank you! :)

* Everyone is welcome: Solo males, solo females, couples, and friends in groups traveling together. Foreigners are especially welcome! This is a safe neighborhood and all of your belongings will be safe. If you want off street parking let me know and I'll open up a spot in the driveway and I'll park behind you for extra safety. The left side of the driveway is for my apartment in the back, and the right side of the driveway is for my neighbor in the front. If you have a motorcycle you can park it on the side of the house or in the back for safe keeping. No one can see there from the street.

* Additional info: I pride myself on being dependable, so once I confirm the inquiry I do not cancel unless it's an emergency. I treat people how I would like to be treated. In my "Couch Photos" I have a picture of a thank you letter from a girl named Janvi that I let stay with me last year. In it she says, "Thank you for providing a safe place for me to stay." Feel free to check it out. I have over 30 perfect reviews from anyone and everyone.

* New Couch Surfers: I do take people without any references. All I ask in return for helping you out by giving you a place and rides for free is to reflect on my generosity in your reference. I've noticed new couch surfers might rush or not leave a reference at all. If I'm saving you on average $100 a night in hotel and ride expenses isn't that only fair to mention the hospitality that you received? I'd really appreciate it!
