About Me
Hi everybody,
I am new to Couchsurfing and I am looking forward to use it for the first time when I am travelling to Portugal from May 23rd until June 4th. I plan on visiting as much of the country as possible starting out in Faro.
I graduated high school in 2018 and went straight to college to study "engineering and management" (I don´t know if this is the proper translation :D). This March - after one semester - I realized that it wasn´t for me, so now I have some free time to spent until October, when I will start to study something else. (I don´t know what yet ;D)
In my spare time I like to do - and watch - a lot of sports, especially Basketball. I also love to just be outside and do cycling or hiking for example.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I created this Couchsurfing account because I think that this platform it is a great way to get in touch with the locals and thus experience a foreign country in a more authentic way when travelling. Moreover I hope to get some insider tips on which places i have to visit.
And - not gonna lie - I only have a limited budget and can´t afford to stay at a hotel every night.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movies have to be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I just love those epic landscapes.
TV series wise I really liked Breaking Bad, Sherlock Holmes, Westworld and of course Game of Thrones, even though I think they could have done a better job on the last season (the first three episodes at least, the last ones aren´t out yet :D).
My favourite book genre is Thriller. I particulary like the books of Sebastian Fitzek.
What I don´t really have is a favourite music genre - I just like to listen to a lot of stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2013 my family and me took a break from work/school for four month and travelled the world. We visited the east and west cost of the U.S., Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand. In a lot of those places we rented a mobile home to get around. It was a great experience!
Moreover I spent a high school year in the U.S. in 2015/2016 where I discovered my passion for basketball.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a decent cook. I could make some pancakes or prepare some "Frikadellen" - a typical german meat dish. :D
