Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going, respectful and friendly person who loves traveling, meeting new people and learning languages. I'm a graduate student in Classical Languages and Literature at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with a focus in Ancient Greek Epic.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a host: Way before learning about couchsurfing, I had already hosted at my apartment many international friends I made abroad or in Rio. I love helping people feel at home when abroad and make the most out of their experience when travelling. Then although I'm new to this website, I've been a host to international travellers many times and I loved it. When I found out there was a social network to facilitate this process I was delighted.
As a guest: I always feel that locals will be able to provide me the best possible experiences in the places I'm visiting. Apart from the usual touristy attractions, I feel that meeting people who inhabit those cities will provide me much more of a honest and true sense of what the place is like.
Being a language enthusiast, I'm always looking forward to the opportunity of communicating in local languages when my skills allow for it. Although I might express myself funnily, I will love to talk to you in your native language if I can. Aside from Portuguese, English and Spanish, I'm currently an intermediate speaker of French and German - and I'm always trying to improve and learn new ones if possible.

I'm a teacher and forever a student: I love sharing experiences, be them from my life in Rio or from my field of studies.
