About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understanding how the world works, what people think and discovering new places

ABOUT ME

I'm an open minded, easy going guy who really likes to travel and meet new people from different cultures. I do believe that traveling and seeing the world by myself is a positive way to make my life more meaningful and remarkable.

I have some sense of adventure and I like to explore exotic and unusual places. I'm more inclined to understand the real life of the cities I visit instead of just sightseeing touristic places.

PHILOSOPHY

"In 20 years, you will be more disappointed by what you didn't do than by what you did" - Mark Twain

"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer." -- Albert Camus

"A ship is always safe at the shore - but that is NOT what it is built for."

"I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened" - Mark Twain

"“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." - Oscar wilde

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I'm not able to host couchsurfers as often as I'd like to, but you can write me to see if I'll be available.

I'd be glad to meet new people and show my city around for those who drop here for a while. I've been living in Sao Paulo for the last 10 years and I still explore new places quite regularly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Movies: I like films with fine art direction and beautiful photography. My fav filmmakers are possibly: Stanley Kubrick, Terrence Malick, Woody Allen and Kryzstoff Kieslowsky (or at least those are the ones I remember now)

Reading: I read about pretty much anything. I like classic literature, poetry, latin american short stories, some sci-fi, etc.

In non-fiction, I'm mostly interested in psychology and human behavior, biographies, finance and stock market.

Some of my favourite authors are Thomas Mann, Dostoevsky, Orwell, Huxley, Oscar Wilde, T.S. Eliot, Proust, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortà zar, Poe, etc.
