About Me

Brazilian living in Cergy-Pontoise for one semester.

I want to meet people to hang out with, share stories, drinks (alcoholic or not), nice local or foreign food, hike/trek/walk to get to know places, cultures and altogether just have a nice time with different people and hopefully make meaningful connections.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find nice and interesting people to hang out during my nomad paths.

Maybe explore the area around, hike, go waterfall seeking, simply walking around or food tasting.

Not looking to use Couchsurfing as tinder. Please understand that. Yes, connections are possible (when genuine), but I’m not active looking for that. So please just invite me to go out with nice traveler/ tourism buddy intentions.

Interests

Travel the world, learn new cultures, meet interesting people, eat good food, dance, help in any way I can, be happy while I'm at it, debate about anything from environment, education, social issues topics to music and movie critics. And practice martial arts and follow the water whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a music lover anything goes, as long as it makes my hips move and my feet shake.

To chill I listen mostly to reggae, mpb, rap, samba, some pop and old rock classics.

Movies: Too long a list to write.

Count me on for tv shows and movie marathons, open air cinemas and anything that involves popcorn and continuous entertainment.

Theater and Musicals? Yes, please.

My “recent” favorites are Crazy Ex-Gfriend, AVPM and Wicked. My all time favorites are Yentil and Hair.

Favorite Book Authors: Jorge Amado, Mia Couto, Abha Dawesar, Machado de Assis and Milan Kundera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I zip-lined from mountain to mountain in Guatemala. It was amazing. Now I’m addicted to them. If you want a ziplining partner, count me in!

I crossed Taiwan as a runaway after one challenging exchange year there (details in person cause the story is wayy too long).

I’m a pro hitchhiker (lifelong pride)

I overnighted at a Taoist Monastery.

Completed a silent trek in Capao Valey, BAHIA, Brazil.

And I once convinced an international kids camp to allow the local staff to be able to play football together with the kids, breaking a xenophobic apartheid kind of work culture. That happened in Guatemala and I was one of the kids at the time. Intercultural respect and friendship should be the norm. Not just tolerance.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recent English tutor, Chinese student, German student and hopefully if I find some friendly volunteer tutor to help: future yoga apprentice. Also interested in bakery, ethnic cuisine - food is the root of culture, right? - dance and crafts. Any knowledge that broadens the mind is welcome 🙏

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything about my culture and the ones I've been in contact with, eventual Brazilian or random bakery goods (anything we feel like cooking), a dance partner and a self-proclaimed good company.

Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Guatemala, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States
