Overview
About Me
I guess I am still a curious kid eager to figure out how things work, enjoying life and my favourite hobby: use technology to connect people, generate new insights and solve problems. Nowadays, I work as Data Engineer (which might sound quite math oriented) but actually, it demonstrates a lot of human behaviour which I always found fascinating. Since my early 20s, I have been travelling to many different countries and always enjoyed to connect with people to exchange ideas. Long story short, I am a Brazilian living in the Heart of Rotterdam with my girlfriend, I spend my free time enjoying the nice corners, cafes and bistros of this town (as everything is new to me), reading, studying and an occasional sport outdoors (if the weather helps).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like this community-based initiative and it can be a great opportunity to make new friends, as when adults we are most of the time busy with routine. I believe in "everything will happen as it should" and "smile to the world and the world will smile back at you", so this is a chance of granting someone an interesting experience and maybe one day that the universe returns this favour :D.
Interests
You could easily get my attention by talking about time travel, sci-fi movies, music, things from the 80's, tv-shows (walking dead, the goldbergs, stranger things, breaking bad, all these classics), technology, entrepreneurism, psychology.... I have always been this kind of geek before being-a-geek was fashionable so :D. Things that I tend to dislike are negativism, badmouth people, unconstructive criticism, chauvinism, preconception... so if you recognize yourself (or even use your sense of humour to externalize these concepts) - there is a high probability that you will lose my attention.
