About Me

I'm a human rights lawyer who has lived in several countries. I have also worked in several international organizations so I am used to dealing with people from different cultural backgrounds in a respectful manner. I am generally very laid back and get along with just about anyone. However, I do not get along with people who are rude, obnoxious and discriminate others on the basis of their skin color, ethnicity, religious beliefs, gender or sexual orientation. I prefer interacting with open-minded and liberal human beings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To interact with people from other countries, share experiences, and make new friends. I have been on Couchsurfing for quite some time and I am friends with many people I have hosted and with many of those that have hosted me throughout the years.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Shawshank Redemption, Hotel Rwanda, The Shining, among many others (way too many to write them all down here).
Music - Hip-Hop, Rock, Blues, Spanish Classical Guitar, Samba... (also too many to write them all down)
Books - my favorite by far is Crime and Punishment by Dostoievsky, but I can also devour easy to read thrillers from John Grisham and Dan Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Up to now I'd have to say the most amazing thing I've done in my life is skydiving. A really great experience that I think everyone should try. Another amazing experience was standing in the old town of Istanbul at the beginning of prayer time and listening to all the mosques come to life at the same time all over the city.
