im Raffles, yes that's my real name lol, I know its kinda uncommon thing that asian like me has European name hehe, so I am 22 years old. I'm from Sumatra, Indonesia. I was born and raised there till I was 16. Since then I decided to leave my house and move to capital city of Indonesia, yes Jakarta. I lived there with my uncle family for one year, only for one year because I just wanted to finished my High school there. Then I had flown right away to Bali, I worked as a waiter in international restaurant and the restaurant located in super good location where there is a lot of tourists from all over the world, I ve met a lot of people and I was so happy that I could talk to them with my English, my English is not really good yet tho but im still learning lol.

A year later I decided to learn German and then I finally could move to Germany on February 2020. First thing what I did is an AuPair. I lived in Frankfurt am Main with a German Family ( a single mother with her daughter who was 2 years old) So I took care of the child for like a year, then I moved to munich at the end of January 2021. I was working as a volunteer for those who have disabilities. So yes at this point I would say that I am an affectionate and patient person and now I'm studying economy.

In my free time I usually meet my friends for like PICKNICK, SWIMMING, PARTY, GRAB SOME COFFES OR ICES, AND BADMINTON. Since I moved to germany I usually making friends from an app called BUMBLE BFF. I really like this app cos u could make new friends from other countries and so now I have like international friends cos of this app.

Its always pleasure for me that when I can interact with new people from different culture, religion, ethnic, age and country.
Because I always want to learn/know something new.

I love to travel to different countries, I love meeting new people and tasting different foods. To date I ve visited Malaysia, Thailand, Hongkong, France, Qatar(only for a transit lol) and some cities in Germany. I started travelling overseas since I was 19 years old and I was so happy cos I made it by my self. I mean I was alone and im so proud of my self cos at this age I was brave enough to do it. Unfortunately at this time I didn’t know about Couchsurfing yet. So I stayed in Hostel, however I still met many people and also getting to know with local tho, its just I didn’t know the feeling how its gonna be when I could stay at someone house and getting to know each other more closer.

Anyway there are so many more places on my list, and I would love to hear as well about ur recommendations about where I should go in the future.
I do like travelling overseas and to different coutries its because I think its make us more accepting of each others differences. And its also helps me to tell some pretty interesting stories about my adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Billie Eilish is currently my favourite singer and I often listening her music. I think her music is just amazing and different compare than other music. I also like hearing spanisch and hip hop music. I just dont really like techno because I can not somehow enjoy it because I prefer hear music with the song so I could sing and also dance with it. I dont really like reading books so I can not say about what is my favourite books, but I do have favourite movies tho. I love washing teen ager Movies or series and until now 13 Reason Why is still my favorite of teen ager serie and the kissing booth is my favourite of movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here is a thing that come to my mind when I see this question

I was a volunteer for people who have disabilities and they are 30-60 years old with mental and physical problem. This job is for me amazing cos it teach me how to be grateful and patient. I really love helping and spending time with them, for me their smile and happiness is an pleasure for me. It may be so exhausted and hard sometime when they started screaming and complaining about their disabilities. At this point I always told my self that I can do and handle it. My daily activities with them are helping them to do shower, eating, go to the toilet, take a walk and talk with them, cooking, feeding, bring them to the bed with etc. I am of course a proud of myself about doing this kind of job and this is good experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things that I could teach are first of all languages, I am fluent in Bahasa, hehe yes cos it my mother tounge, besides my German is now also getting better and better so if u guys interested I could also teach it.
and what I am so excited the most is that we could share how we do a toast hehe, I mean when we drink an alcohol and we say cheers, I honestly dont know how u call it in English, translate said its a toast but im not sure about that hehe, however I hope u know what I mean.

I could also tell u some fun fact about Indonesia and germany, about the history, politic, about places where maybe I could recommend u to visit. i know lot of beautiful places especially in Indonesia.
Besides I also can cook some of Indonesian food tho and they re honestly not so complicated to cook and Im sure we could get the ingredients at the supermarket in ur country.

Well I also want to learn something about u and ur culture tho, and it would be nice that if u could tell me about the story and fun fact about u and also ur country. I love tasting different kind of foods so if u can cook or at least show me where I can get the traditional of food from ur country, it would be amazing.
