About Me

I am a very friendly person with interests in many different things, I usually like to visit museums, eat local food, listen to music, paint, write and a lot of things more. At the moment I can not give lodging since I have a roomate, but my brother lodges people from different parts of the world and many times that because of work problems he was not in the city, I served as tourist guide

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here, because I would like to meet people from different parts of the world to practice my English, because before it was also a limitation for me, but these years I have studied a lot the language

Interests

As I mentioned before, I studied biology but working with population ecology to relate statistics to board games and that led me to design games, while developing a style of art that is currently sold in my country and I have won a couple of Art competitions and board games championships, I'm actually a very curious person

Music, Movies, and Books

As for music I have many favorite groups or singers, I like rock in English, in Spanish, trova, classical music, jazz, ska, punk, happy punk among others.

Whenever I ask my favorite movies I take a lot of time to decide what they are, but I like the Japanese animations, the Tarantino movies, the sci-fi movies but the ones I remember right now in my top are:

Princess Mononoke
Pulp Fiction
Inglourious Basterds
Paprika
Matrix
Sector 9
Star Wars

As for books, I am a fan of Hemingway, Joel Dicker and Roberto Bolaño (he is one of the best Chilean writers of all time), the list of my favorite books is difficult, but here some:

For Whom The Bells Tolls
1984
The Spirit of the Science Fiction
Fahrenheit 451
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
On the Road
The Final Days of our Fathers
Pedro Páramo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have invented a couple of table games, won two story contests, I started my own art style and I am national champion of Carcassone and Catán in Mexico (these are two famous board games all over Europe). In 2014 I traveled to Germany to the world championship of Catán and this year I return to the world championship of Carcassone

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything that is interested in learning and I know, I like to be able to teach it. With everything you have read about me, I think you can give an idea of what topics I know. As for learning, I like to learn anything, I think it never stops learning and many times by chance you learn something that in the future helps you solve something else.

All knowledge must be shared, since it is the only thing that truly has value.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good tour of the city where I live, since I know all kinds of things, bars, restaurants, famous places, regional stores, museums, and if I know, we will go together to explore.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, United States
