About Me
I am a human being that happens to have slightly itchy feet and enjoy the outdoors -save the mosquitoes who were put on earth so we don't get to comfy on paradise.
I am spending 6 months in Australia, living at an off grid campground, surfing when I can and chilling in general
I travel with Laurie, we both have hosted in our room in Newquay while working as surf instructors, and now live in Australia at a bush campground.
Laurie is Cornish born and bred, but has also been around the globe from a young age! He can speak about surfing for hours so if you aren't ready for it better not getting him started :)
We both love science and technology, flow arts and learning in general.
He can cook better than me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it would be rather surprising for someone like me not to be on Couchsurfing! Is just the proof that if we organize ourselves, we all get ourselves covered!
I love hosting when I can, in Brno, Bulgaria, Rumania and lately Cornwall, and got hosted many times, meeting incredible people on the way...
Not having a permanent residence, being able to couchsurf a couple of nights when plans don't really fit calendar wise, really makes life not only easier but also more pleasant!!
I sometimes work online, and can afford hostels, but I find that I don't have much in common with other guest... just stressed people ticking items of a bucket list or counting countries. Then, while hosteling there is no human way to escape the tourist traps!
Since I met Laurie and we hosted together, he has been extremely curious about how it might be to be a guest. It will also be new for me to be couch surfing with company!
Interests
Being on the sea. Surfing clicked with everything my soul needed, but just playing with the waves is enough to keep me entertained.
I crochet compulsively, appreciate a good hike and get easily absorbed by a good conversation. I can sort of climb, mountain bike and enjoy almost any outdoor activity to put it simply.
We both like simplicity, we don't need much. Authenticity is for us the key to create a connection. We don't mind being called "a bit hippy" or "quite chill"

Music, Movies, and Books
Balkan rhythms, Dub, Ska, Funk, Jazz, Psybient... it would depend on the moment!
Books: Stardust woke up my inner child with each chapter. Sapiens and Homo Deus shook the adult. The Four Agreements soothe the hurt.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Breaking my hand in a foreign country, going to a festival by hitchhiking 600km in a different one, come back for surgery to then go straight into for 4 days of hiking in Tatry mountains right after leaving the hospital.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not a pro, but really enjoy sharing tips with other people surfing. Laurie is quite good at it, althouth he won't say it!
I'm a storyteller in process. But sometimes it works and people travel with stories. There are quite a lot.
If you have wool around, keep it away from me or expect a funky hat made out of it
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking, specially when it is to share. It is a natural way to connect with others.
We both come with an open mind, both if that means joining you in your plans or finding our own ways to fill the hours you might be busy.
We hope to be able to make your life a bit easier and more pleasant while we are with you
