About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Write a novel, find the edge of the world, love more

ABOUT ME

Entering a phase of life where order and predictability feels repulsive, I am going on the road, on a pilgrimage to the edge of the world, searching for the abyss, and along the way, criss crossing the world, I sit by the side of the road, taking notes, perhaps, every now and then, finding an image that will lead to a short story or two.

PHILOSOPHY

I seek an overflowing heart, remaining present in every moment to expand my consciousness. I think that different stages in life require different philosophies, so even though I am now a traveller and seeking freedom and challenger, I see myself settling down in the future and building a world of my own with many nooks and crannies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I travel and will want to find a couch, but can imagine a future - when I once again have a home of my own - when I will house many a CouchSurfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still a CouchSurfing virgin, building up courage to go our and find a couch rather than a hostel.

Interests

Art and philosophy beyond all. Having great conversations and opening up a space of We that elevate both participants. Walking around in old cities. Hiking through sublime nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Brothers Karamazov, Foundation; Beethoven, Led Zeppelin; Chinatown, 2001, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting by the Dervish House in Mostar, Bosnia staring into the void from where the river emerges into the air, speaking to the spirits. Immersing myself in Gustav Klimt's painting at the Belvedere Museum, Vienna. And every time I fall in love.

Teach, Learn, Share

Philosophy, Asian Studies, and I cook and write rather well...
