About Me

I've been working as a freelance developer in Bangalore for a few years. Now I'm working at a more regular job, but someday I hope to really travel the world. Even India, from the travel I've done here, is a vast place with such an amazing diversity of places, people and culture. The world will be astounding.

I'm quiet but friendly - and always happy to go out and get a beer. I really enjoy a good conversation, and I like finding out how different people look at the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend, Liz, had been travelling all over the world before we met and keeps telling me about her amazing experiences with couchsurfing. I love the idea and would like to meet and share experiences with travellers.

We're planning a trip to South America soon and will definitely be looking out for couchsurfers there. South Americans are especially welcome, so I can practise Spanish :) Liz (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2000270568) is from Chile so you'll feel welcome.

Interests

I play the guitar and write simple songs. Here are some of them: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnXWx9r4EupKWAGZlo4rmWQ

I love running, cycling and trekking. The Himalayas fascinate me particularly!

Tango is something I've gotten into over the last two years, and it's become an addiction I know I'll continue for the rest of my life now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled across half the west coast of India (from Kanyakumari to Goa) - this was a 1500km trip over a month and one of the best things I've ever done.

A month long basic mountaineering course in the Himalayas in Sikkim. Beautiful, but gruelling treks, ice climbing on the Rathong glacier - this was quite an experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share good music with people, a jam session or maybe basic guitar lessons.

Learning a few words of your language would be great. Particularly Spanish, since I'm trying actively to learn that now. I could tell you some basic Hindi.

I'd be happy to cook some simple Indian food or show you a few amazing little South Indian food joints (you'll enjoy the magic of a Bangalore masala dosa).

Some runs in Bangalore's parks or a cycle ride out on the outskirts.
