About Me
Hi! I’m Rahul, an English teacher from Mumbai, India. I spend my days helping students discover the joy of learning languages, and I spend my evenings planning my next adventure. I’m passionate about travel, culture, and meeting people who see the world with curiosity and kindness.
I’d describe myself as calm, easy-going, and open-minded. I enjoy conversations that go beyond small talk—stories about life, learning, and all the little differences that make every culture unique. When I travel, I prefer staying with locals because I believe the best way to understand a place is through the people who live there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places—it’s about meeting new people. Couchsurfing represents the kind of travel I believe in: authentic, human, and based on trust and curiosity.
Hotels are comfortable, but they don’t give you the feeling of sharing a meal in someone’s kitchen, learning about daily habits, or discovering a city through the eyes of a local. I love the idea of exchanging stories, perspectives, and laughter with people I would never have met otherwise.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking simple Indian dishes and would be happy to share a homemade curry or masala chai with you (it’s my specialty).
France has always fascinated me—its history, language, and food. This trip is a mix of exploring, practicing my French, and meeting new people. If you’re open to hosting, sharing a meal, or just grabbing a coffee and showing me around your favorite spots, I’d be genuinely grateful.
