Have not tried anything like this before, have been on business and personal trips and always ended up being in hotels.
Couchsurfing presents the opportunity to stay with locals, see the place through their eyes, I guess it would be a very rewarding experience!
It also allows me to host and meet wonderful people from all over the world and help them have a good time when they visit India.
