About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm working and living in Sofia, Bulgaria, after living and studying in Edinburgh for couple of years. My job is great and work hard during the week and travelling for short trips mainly during the weekends. I enjoy nature, the great outdoor experiences and mountain culture. I like to make things with my hamds, hike in the mountain with a snowboard on my back, recently I got into climbing, slacklining and caves, MUSICWISE i enjoy most deep bass, balkanfunk, also a big variety of quality music that I can't really put into certain style, but may be most of all, live acoustic concerts.

PHILOSOPHY

Embracing spontaniety and the art of letting go.

There is a point in conquering the useless!

Fear of the unknown is the greatest fears of all but we sometimes just have to go for it...

The hardest thing in the world is to simplify your life, it's so easy to make it complex.

An adventure is not real if you know how it ends

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's just great to share the world more and not isolate ourselves and our cultures.
Staying with locals always gives you more and real experience from traveing. I'm not against conventional tourist industry but for me, it's making travelling predictable and money oriented.

Interests

I'm obsessed with snowboarding during the winter and I go for it every time I have the chance. I really enjoy cycling as a mean of transport in the city and I strongly support this idea. I recently got into slackline and rock climbing. I enjoy making things, carpentry and craft in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy diverse music like reaggae, balkan beats, acoustic instrumentals and recently not a that much drum'n'bass, grime, hiphop. My three favourite artists are Manu Chao, The Cat Empire and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, but this is a really long topic, recently I am realky into nomadic beats and sounds from all over the world, which includes a lot of folk moti es from everywhere. I especially apreciate live performed music and people that can sing or play, I, myself, am only good at dancing. Movies I like are 180 SOUTH, HOME, DEEPER /Jeremy Jones/ all kind of documentaries about travelling and extreme sports, The Beach, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Motorcycle Diaries, a lot of stuff directed by Tarantino, Aronofski, Lars von Trier, The world is big and salvation lurks around the corner, What's eating Gilbert Grape, Salt of the Earth, Baraka and most probably any film that has valuable lesson or provocation. Books that I really enjoyed are On the road, Into the wild, Fear and Loathing, Richard Bach, Small Change, Placemakers Guide for Building Community, Sidharta, The Steppe Wolf, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintanance, Laila, almost everything that is written by Erich Fromm and Herman Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in Marroco a couple of times, climbing the highest peak of North Africa was quite amazing as well as being in Sahara and the gorge of Todra. That journey motivate me to go to remote territories as the Alps, Nepal, Kilimanjaro, Patagonia or Iran.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything is Possible. What you have to do is to really wish it, first of all. Sharing music, thoughts, energies or points of view are making the world a better place to be!
