ABOUT ME

Hello folks. I'm an illustrator/artist and university lecturer living in Moscow. I've only been here since September 2010 and the cold isn't as bad as you think, the snow is lovely and I'm enjoying the experience. Before that I was living in the UK, the last 10 years in London.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I stayed for a fortnight in Japan with Couchsurfing contacts and I have been inspired by the friendliness and generosity of spirit that I encountered, from people from all over the globe. Now I want to travel more, meet more people, get a flavour of how local people live in different countries and cultures. My couchsurfing experience has also opened my mind to hosting couchsurfers in Moscow.

Leaving the UK to live abroad has changed everything. Suddenly everything seems possible.

I'm still trying to get to grips with Russian right now. I teach art and illustration and I have run workshops based on comics and visual storytelling so perhaps that is something that I can share. I'm very keen to share music from around the world.
