ABOUT ME

I've lived and worked in: China, Cambodia, Colombia, the Philippines, India, Uganda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Nigeria, and have travelled to many more places. I love meeting new people, exploring places and embracing different cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Some would say I live my life to the extreme, I would say I live it as full as I can. Both when travelling and in my home country, my adventurous streak has landed me in some pretty difficult situations, but I've always managed to end up fine (thus far!). Life is for living, not just the great times but the harder times too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy being able to stay with people who know the place really well, so I can see what it's like to live as a local.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The CS hosts I've stayed with so far have all been great :) One Filipina in particular is my guardian angel in the Philippines. She was always on the other end of the phone for me whenever I needed help, or just a chat, and she helped me with a lot of things! She even got me salsa dancing with a broken toe!

Interessi

I love hiking, swimming in lakes and oceans, and generally being in nature! I'm very curious and love learning - about the world, other cultures, languages, you name it! I love listening to music from all over the world. I also really like classical music, and play the piano, harp and cello. I really enjoy dancing, particularly Bachata.

I'm good at baking. Cooking - it's a work in progress!

I love learning languages and try to learn as much as I can wherever I happen to go to. I'm building a collection of beginner conversation level in lots of random languages.
