About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep everyday an adventure!

ABOUT ME

I love to learn and do new things, sporadic things, any things. I love adventure. I play saxophone and sing in a ska band called The Loose Ties. If I could, I'd just travel constantly. Having a "home" has never really been something I've needed. I love tea. I love reading. I like to cycle, I ride my bike everywhere. I like to climb. I enjoy do it yourself projects. I enjoy home brewing. I worked at boy scout camps teaching various merit badges for 6 years. My favorite was being Archery Director. I love to laugh. I like to drink good beer, and any type of wine. My favorites are Arcadia's Angler and Bell's Two Hearted. I enjoy going out and doing things. I also like to chill. I'm pretty much up for anything. Life is what you make out of it, and I'm here to have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and hosting as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoyed each time I couch surfed. I remember getting to go 38 MPH (according to my bicycle's speedometer) down hills in beautiful Pittsburgh. And the Peanut Butter & co in NY! The best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you'll ever eat.

Music, Movies, and Books

It depends on my mood. My favorite author is Michael Crichton, but I haven't much time for extracurricular reading. As far as music, I like almost anything- besides new country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a street named "Constant Friendship." If that isn't amazing, I don't know what is.

A fellow couchsurfer and I were sitting in the back on his jeep at a rest stop playing guitar. An older man pulled up next to us in his van and said "Nice day to be free." When he came out of the rest stop he handed us a piece of paper with some of his poetry of his experience in the Vietnam war and said "Write a song to this," and was on his way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked at a health food store. I can teach you what I've learned about naturopathic medicine.

I have a science background, so we can talk about that too, if you like.

I can teach you archery, more so if you have a bow and arrows, and a place to practice.

I know some music theory.

Teach me about culture! About history! About your life.
Teach me a good recipe, or to knit, or anything! I just love to learn.
