I am from Hungary, and I love to travel. Somehow I always manage on a super low budget, and get to see interesting places. I like to hitchike too . If you travel by car, you miss the hardship and the beauty of being dependent on the kindness of strangers. And they are so kind!
I want to give this kindness back. But: this is not Tinder, and I'm not a free tourguide. I ONLY HOST TRAVELERS WHO GENUINELY CAN'T AFFORD A PLACE TO SLEEP. If you are just looking for that local taste for your trip, and want someone to show you the hidden cool places, FUCK OFF.
I want to give you the kindness of a stranger if you need it. If you don't need it, support the economy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The most obvious reason is, I have to travel on a budget, so I cannot afford too many nights in hostels. And also, I love to meet new people, and I think you can only get to know a place and a culture if you hang out and stay with the locals. People who host travelers have as much interesting stories as travelers do. I'm also open to host people, if they are interesting and cool, but beware, you have to sleep on the floor.

Interests

I'm interested in ways of sustainable living.
Recycling, natural building, permaculture, etc.
Judaism. Spirituality.
Being in nature. (I'm not a serious hiker though. I just like to be there. Look at every curiously shaped stone and red leaf and raindrops on the branches.
I like to party, but it's not the main point of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music includes psychedelic rock from the sixties, like Jefferson Airplane, Doors, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, etc.Progressive rock from the early 70's too. For partying I love to get crazy for balkan gypsy music or dance all night long for psytrance. Psybient and IDM I love too.
For movies.. hmm, there are too many, Baraka, Samsara, The Network, La Haine, Holy Mountain, movies of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Pedro Almodovar. I don't watch movies too often, its too passive thing to me to just watch, doesn't keep my brain awake, I usually fall asleep. I like reading more, it involves some brain activity at least. Now I'm reading a lot of Jared Diamond, he is a genius. Before that I've read Sofi Oksannen and loved it. Doris Lessing. Yuval Harari. Ray Bradbury and Milan Kundera are my all time favorites, and Anthony Burgess too.
