Overview
About Me
Currently an undergraduate student, but raised on a small farm in northern California foothills. I had strong contemplations about whether to furthering my education or just travel. I've believe I have found a middle ground that is working perfectly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to meet new people at every opportunity I get and Couchsurfing sounded much more constructive than staying at a hotel in every possible way.
Interests
Sustainability is a main focal point of my life, however I still live a 'normal' american life as a consumer. Awareness of the environmental impacts of our actions is crucial in order to continue living the lifestyle we are accustomed to with a lower impact.
As far as hobbies, I enjoy playing soccer, volleyball, skiing, mountain biking, hiking and photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I work in SWEETlabs during the summers designing solar powered water filters that are distributed to Rowanda and Kenya. The filters are outfitted with microcell chips that relay information about the usage of the filter and quality of water back to the lab. This data is used to explain the demographics of the areas with filters and the relationship between quality of life and quality of water.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can hold up my end of an educated philosophical conversation about just anything. I'm not afraid to voice my opinions, however, I am very open to other views as well. Furthermore, I hope I can learn from those who are more experienced than me, as the majority of the world I am still ignorant to.
