Overview
About Me
We are a couple since 2015 and met in university.
Rainer grew up in Rastatt and is studying computer science in Karlsruhe.
Kiki grew up in Berlin and moved to Oftersheim in 2012, she is now studying geoecology in Karlsruhe.
We both like the Japenese culture, including (but not limited to) food, language, sports (kendo), movies and anime/manga. On top of that, we like to play tabletop games and video games, hiking, and tea (especially green tea / matcha).
Kiki also likes to cook and bake.
Why we aren't hosting currently:
We are currently rather busy with exam preparations and project work, and therefore cannot be the good hosts a guest deserves. Therefore, we do cannot host anyone in this time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We like to meet new people, learn about other cultures and travel to new countries. And also offer our place for people needing a couch.

Music, Movies, and Books
As to books, much fantasy (e.g. The Lightbringer Series), but also Haruki Murakami, Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide), Sherlock Holmes, and Manga ^_^
We like to watch anime together and like listening to rock&pop, instrumental / classical music or soundtracks (games, anime, ...).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rainer: Meeting someone from my hometown (!) in the midst of nothing on the top of the Carpathian Mountains (romania), completely by chance (I'm not from a considerably large city).
Teach, Learn, Share
We would like to improve our Japanese and learn more about Japanese culture, and of course about every other culture out there, and also about different cuisines or tea.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can offer some German cuisine, different board and card games and hopefully some fun company ^_^
