Overview
About Me
I'm Rainer, a 55 year old guy living with my husband in a small village approximately 30 km east of Stuttgart, Germany. Stuttgart City Centre is reachable by bus and train in about 50 minutes. As most of the Couchsurfer community, I would say I'm an open minded guy. I really like to meet new people from all around the world. I myself am relatively domestic, but also like to travel from time to time.
What could be better than spending quality time with (new) friends and having a good conversation over a glass of beer or wine?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined the Couchsurfing community mainly because I like to welcome and meet new people from all over the world. But I will certainly be happy to accept the offer of a free couch one day and possibly from that day also more often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am new here, but very much looking forward to gaining many good experiences.
A few years ago, two young backpackers came by our house and asked for a place to camp. We offered them our guest room and spent a wonderful evening together.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn from the experiences and cultures of my guests. I look forward to learning more about my guests' home countries and to brushing up on my English.
If we have the same interests and if desired, we can also go on excursions or hikes together.
If you would like to learn or practise German, you are of course also very welcome.
