ABOUT ME

This is sort of a long tale. I will have to tell you in person. In my recent history, I was living in Miami and had a business, came to Costa Rica on a vacation, and couldn't seem to stay away. I finally closed the business and moved to CR and stayed over three years, had a spa for two years, and am now returning to writing, which is really my first love. I had to leave CR, and returned to Miami, and after some years there, moved to Western Massachusetts and now split my time between Connecticut, where my significant other is completing his education in chiropractic, and Springfield, Mass. Wherever I am, I continue to write and pursue dreams.

PHILOSOPHY

I really believe in the importance of evolution. We are on the journey, and most of what is ahead lies inside us.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I moved back to Miami, I have hosted a bunch of people, and have had really nice experiences. And in July 2011, my daughter and I were hosted, all through South America, and had a great time, and in 2012 we did the same in Europe for one month, ending in Iceland, which was our favorite!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted, and traveled a month through South America, couchsurfing as we went. It was an amazing experience! The hosts were beyond kind and generous with their time. I am going to be busy for a while writing all those recommendations!! In 2012, my daughter and I have surfed in Europe, and though at times it was hard to find a couch, when we did, people were so kind! COVID stalled our Asia plans, but hopefully that trip is now on the horizon!

Interests

I like nature and surfing and writing and talking and dancing, and the spiritual life. I am doing a deep dive into Vedantic philosophy and Kriya Yoga lately, and am hopefully going to develop skills and work in the healing arts over the coming years.

Not so into oldies (except Beatles). Like hiphop, reggaeton, electronic, some jazz and blues, some classical, some rock and alternative

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I flew to Spain on a one-way ticket to see a guru, then hitched a ride on a bus to London with a few bucks in my pocket, found work there for three months until I saved enough to get a ticket home. I also loved floating down the Amazon on a flat boat with a hammock as a bed.
