Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find a way to live up to my ambitions
ABOUT ME
I like to find good things and make them better--why else do people get involved with CS? I'm a young professional progressive fun-loving sort-of hippie kind-of bad-ass etc. etc. currently making an attempt at being a semi-normal member of the working world while maintaining a semi-secret life of CouchSurfing, burning, protesting the forces of injustice, and finding wonder in the midst of the daily grind.
PHILOSOPHY
Love is a skill, and I work on it every day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to do everything, but my schedule can be extraordinarily unpredicable, so it's often difficult for me to plan or commit to anything in advance.
Interests
Anthropology. Art--bringing art back into our everyday lives. Communities--building them, being a part of them, trying to figure them out. Sustainability. Friendship. Beauty--finding it, creating it, talking about it, passing it on.

Music, Movies, and Books

books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Collected Fictions of Jorge Luis Borges, The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan, The Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond, Slaughterhouse Five, Choke, Ishmael, Culture/Power/History, Ender's Game, A Natural History of the Senses, Madness and Civilization by Foucault, Collapse, Guns Germs and Steel, Pathologies of Power by Paul Farmer, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Kundera, Simulacra & Simulation by Baudrillard, The Revolution Will Not be Microwaved by Sandor Ellix Katz, and lately I'm into Neal Stephenson.
music: I love Andrew Bird; also electronic dance music... so, I have trouble putting all that into any neat little box.
