CURRENT MISSION
enjoy summer

I am doing my Master in Commputational Science in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I enjoy combining the technical knowledge I get there with ideas from Psychology and Cognitive Science which I learnt about during my Bachelor. Interdisciplinary research is just great and I try to apply this approach to other aspects of my life, too.

I love being outside, especially on the beach, and doing lots of sports. I'm definitely not a gym person. I do athletics and fencing, but I also enjoy other outdoor activities such as beachvolleyball and horse riding.

One of my great weaknesses is impatience. If things are not going fast enough or if someone is late than I might get a little bit grumpy. But fortunately I can laugh at myself, so after a comment like "that is German efficiency", I have to grin anyway.

I just enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. I'm open-minded, eager to learn and try to enjoy life as much as possible.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I have been a couchsurfing guest twice so far, once in London where I stayed for the Olympics 2012, and the other time in Berlin.
It was great to meet new people some of whom I wouldn't have gotten to know in my normal daily life.

Intereses

I'm definitely a great sports fan. I have been doing athletics since I was 7 and additionally, I started with fencing when I came to uni. Sports help me to compensate the work load from uni and present a good opportunity for me to meet my friends.
I also really enjoy organizing events and to take responsability.
Baking is another favourite activity of my free-time....and eating :) Whether sticking to the recipe or experimenting with ingredients - I like both styles!

Algo increíble que he hecho

During a 3-months stay on an Icelandic dairy farm I was herding cattle on horseback. Riding through vulcano ash fields in this untouched nature was an amazing experience.
Interacting with the farmers showed me a completely new perspective on life!
