About Me

I was born and raised on a small island in the Caribbean sun called Curaçao. It lies off the coast of Venezuela, right between Aruba and Bonaire. After I finished college on the island, I decided to move to Amsterdam, because I wanted to broaden my horizons. I must say, I never looked back on that decision. I've grown so much and have met so many great people.

Some (random) facts about myself:

-I live in a tiny house, but most people would call it a studio apartment
-I have three sisters. I'm the second one.
-Being from the Caribbean, I grew up on the beach
-I'm always smiling or laughing
-My favorite music genre is Indie rock
-My favorite food is anything plant based, but I don't preach about it. Although, I do have a soft spot for pizza
-I don't smoke
-I don't drink alcohol, but I promise you I'm not boring
-I like walking by the canals late at night when everyone else is sleeping. It's so peaceful
-I like going to the gym
-I love dogs and wish I could have one where I live
-As a matter of fact, I love all animals. Not just dogs
-I have three tattoos. All of them are of animals and flowers
-I speak four languages: English, Dutch, Papiamentu (my native language), and little bit of Spanish

As a responsible human being, I'd be the ideal guest. I'm not a huge party animal, even though I like having fun. I'm respectful of my neighbors and wouldn't cause them any "headache". I will leave an honest review after my stay.

Lastly, my life motto is, well I don't know if it's a life motto, but y life motto is: "If you wait for your friends to do stuff with you, you'll never do anything at all". With this said, this is the reason why I do things by myself, such as traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I also have a keen interest in exploring new cities, and try to do that as often as I can. I usually stay in hotels, but thought that by joining the CS community let's me meet cool people, with hopefully the same interest as me. I would like to meet as many cool and interesting people as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'd listen to anything, but I do love Indie and Folk music a lot.

Movies: Anything, really. I even love really bad B-movies, such as those really bad zombie movies from the 70s.

Books: The Alchemist, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and right now I just started reading A thousand Years of Solitude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climb the mountain, or very big hill, back home. Skydiving is on my list.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I said, I'm not the biggest party animal. That doesn't mean that I'm not open to a night out on the town. I'm very respectful of others and their wishes, clean and I don't smoke. I'm always willing to give a helping hand wherever possible.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, United States, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
