About Me

I'm a 27 woman who was born in Rwanda and grew up in the chocolate and beer country, Belgium. I'm a joy seeker, chatty girl, self-care enthusiast, red-lipstick addict, and music lover. I have two little sisters who often rally against me ! My family consist pretty much of my parents, the three Aga-sisters, 1 cousin and his wife and two babies plus some dear friends without counting the all family spread across the World ! My life goal is basically to follow my joy in whatever form, have fun and spread words and actions of self-love, self-care, empowerment, light and creativity

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to talk, meet, share, explore and discover a lot about myself as much as others ! I like people and talking, a lot ! If I can allow someone to travel with little cost and show a part of my town in a less touristic way, why not ! Couchsurfing is the most practical, connecting and inspiring idea of our generation in my opinion !

Interests

°MUSIC because it makes me laugh, cry, breathe, live, get though hard times and is basically my BFF on speaker !
°Travelling and being my own boss.
°Discovering other cultures and getting to know the people embracing them.
°DIY art or me trying to put some color into my life.
°Natural hair and body care because if i wouldn't put it in my mouth, no thanks !
°Finding the perfect matte red lipstick 'cause makes me feel like I can conquer the World !

Music, Movies, and Books

This question is like asking me to choose my favorite family member ! But for the fun of it I'll say that my favorite artist are Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Katie Melua, James Morrison, Passenger and Michael Buble. And I'm currently obsessed with James Bay and Kacey Musgraves albums ! And I have a sweet spot for Ariana Grande and One Direction :-) As for movies, it's always changing but my all time favorite The Piano (1193) and The Notebook (2004) ! But Unbroken (2014), Lone Survivor and Imitation Game were beautiful historic and life lesson. Finally, my favorite books are "Mademoiselle Noel" and "Les enfants de la liberté" by Marc Levy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the proudest moment of my life was when I climbed "The Giant Stairway" of more than 800 steps in the rock formation called The Three Sisters in New South Wales, Australia ! Going down with a rail-train I had no idea we were suppose to climb up but imagine my surprise when we arrive at the bottom of the stairs and looking up I couldn't even see the top ! But I did it ! At my pace which took me nearly and hour and a half making break to enjoy the view and but mostly to catch my breath ! The landscape at the top was worth the effort ! I was so proud of myself and I since took it as a life lesson that "As long as you do it at your pace and maybe have a few setbacks, you can always reach your destination. Believe in yourself and never give up !"

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a few thing like : Basic guitar chords ; How to "vegan" any meal ; Basic nutrition concept ; Braid you hair ; ....

I'd love to learn about : Ayurveda or any body care system ; How to make bread ; Spanish ; filming a documentary ; other cultures and new recipes.

I can share my Joy, obsession with red lipstick and lots of idea on how to change the World ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm currently coming back home with a detour in Bali ! My town, Brussels is a little jewel to discover with a local who knows a few good spots and useful tips to move around ! I love to find new places to eat, drink and party with my hosts ! So, even if it's for advice, a day or just a coffee, don't hesitate !
