Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm someone who loves trying new and different things. I might be a little shy at first, but that doesn't last very long. My favorite things in life are laughing, being around people I care about, and traveling, of course! It’s always great to be able to experience a new city through the eyes of a local.

I’ll be honest with you... I’m a lot more likely to accept a request when I see the person who sent it has taken the time to read my profile. Makes sense, right? This community is all about opening up your home to people you don’t know, so I guess it’s fair to want to host those who take some time to get to know you a little better. You should at least read the My Home section so you know where I live and see if that works for you.
Interests
My interests include cinema, literature, music, arts, photography, foreign cultures and languages, yoga, and musical theater.
I love reading and writing, watching good movies and TV shows, drawing, practicing yoga, listening and playing music.
One of my favorites things to do is to walk around the places I visit with my camera to snap some pictures and try to capture all the fun that goes with it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Talking about my taste in music is somewhat complicated seeing as it changes according to how I'm feeling. But I'll listen to folk rock at any given time.
I’ve been in a serious relationship with Netflix for quite some time now. So let’s talk about our favorite shows, that’s always fun! :) I love TV dramas but I'm also really into sitcoms. Laughing is, in my humble opinion, one of the best things in life! Speaking of Netflix and laughing, how great are their comedy specials? Seriously, if you like stand-up comedy, we'll have lots to talk about! Why not start by telling me who are some of your favorite comedians? Some of my all-time favorites? Kate McKinnon, Hannah Gadsby, Iliza Shlesinger, Jen Kirkman, Nikki Glaser, Ali Wong, and Florence Foresti. (Now go ahead and make a joke about how women aren't funny, I dare ya, I double dare ya!)
If you got that reference, something tells me we're going to get along just fine. Haha.
It was once my dream to study filmmaking. That didn't work out, but I'm still a huge cinema lover.
Fortunately, I went on to study something else I truly love—literature! Let me tell you, I love books in the dorkiest way possible. And I really do try to read a little bit of everything, so if you have any great book recommendations, I'd love to hear them. Some of my favorite authors include Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Junot Díaz, Toni Morrison, Jack Kerouac, Naomi Alderman, Emma Donoghue, Samuel Beckett, Truman Capote, and oh, so many others...
