About Me

Endlessly curious about ideas, places, people, cultures, nature. The idea of life for me is a celebration in this short limited time we are given

I document people, places and stories for a living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is no better way to experience a new place than through a local, and if not then having a stranger from another part of the globe discovering a new strange place is pretty fun too.

I also feel if someone is visiting my home city then I i have an obligation to make sure you're safe and well. In Indian culture we have a saying. A guest is like God. And in some part I like to follow this philosophy.

I like how travel helps us bring down misconceptions and stereotypes about people and countries. The news we read about a lot of countries can leave us dreading about it, only to go there and find out mostly it's nothing like has been projected.

So I'm here to bring down barriers and let my misconceptions fade away.

The mostly recent book I read is Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, and I can't praise it enough. Catcher in the Rye and Catch 22 are my all time favorite books.
