I was a soldier for 33 years. Got to live in a lot of places across the country. I used to read a lot, but somehow do not seem to find too much time for that now.

I like travel and adventure (..who doesn't..) but I also like a reasonably clean bed and loo at the end of the day.

Birding is my passion. It takes me to remote places often. On such days I may be out of cellphone coverage and my responses get delayed till I reach back home.

I am a somewhat private person, but with some folks I click from the word go. I am easy-going but don't have much patience with unreasonable behaviour.

For those who host me:
I will give due respect to you and your home.
I will accept your hospitality with gratitude and humility.
If at all I do (or fail to do) anything not acceptable to you, please let me know. I will make amends immediately.

For those whom I host:
1. Your primary reason for staying with me should not be freeloading. I respect the spirit of couchsurfing as a host and expect the same from my guests.
2. You need to call and discuss your plans including expected time of arrival and departure. I will try to accommodate last minute requests but don’t bet on it.
3. I stay alone and run a very limited kitchen. Hence, I would not be able to offer you food. However food is available nearby at reasonable cost.
4. I would expect you to maintain personal hygiene. I am really not very fond of being next to a smelly person.
5. I would expect you to clean up before you leave and put things as you found them. I am a systematic fellow and anything not in its proper place bugs me.
