About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a mission to experience the entire world including the people in it, the food they eat and the traditions they practice. I am an entrepreneur and I'm trying to find a way to do this while making money doing it. My current job facilitates that.

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty carefree and open-minded. I can get along with most anyone. One thing that some people are taken aback by is my bold honesty. I just don't have time to worry about what other's think. Life is too short to waste on being bothered and the best part is it weeds out true friends: "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." Most importantly, I just love life and doing everything I can to soak it up like a sponge.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to experience life absolutely... life is a privilege and it would be foolish to take it for granted or let it just kind of float by while I observe it like a clueless spectator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host at our house in India (the house in Murfreesboro, TN has too many family members in it) and would like to be hosted when I travel which I do fairly regularly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this site and have never actually had the opportunity to couch surf with any of its members. I have been traveling since infancy and in between then and now I have crashed with people I've met along the way and I have never ever regretted even one of those experiences. I have hosted one couple so far and it was an amazing experience learning from them and interacting with them. I hope to do it more often.

Interests

My interests can be summed up in one word: TRAVEL. I've been traveling the world since before I could walk and if it has taught me anything it's that seeing the world is better than any education you can receive at Harvard or MIT. I love meeting new people, eating and cooking new foods/cuisines (huge foodie), and learning about new cultures, traditions, and societies. I'm a student of human nature!!! Apart from that I love good pubs/bars (Guinness is hands down my favorite beer), socializing, reading, learning in any capacity, SCUBA diving, roller skating, and most of all doing these things with people that really matter to me whether they be friends, family or both.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music interests changes, but I love old school Alternative, Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Electronic, Industrial Rock, and many others.

I read classic authors like Alexandre Dumas, Charles Dickens etc. as well as current fiction authors like Michael Crichton and John Grisham and I absolutely love reading biographies of successful/influential individuals and I do self-help books as well.

It's hard to define my favorite movies. I can't pick one favorite but the type of movies I like are varied in genre and include movies like Fight Club, Inception, Snatch, North by Northwest, Casa Blanca, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards, Reservoir Dogs, As Good As it Gets, 10 Things I Hate About You, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, most good Fantasy films, well done Action films, Sci-Fi, CGI... It seems I like films from most genres. I'll give any type of film a try and I can usually find something that appeals to me in most any genre if done well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SCUBA Diving in Caye Caulker, Belize. Exploring the bat-filled caves in the mountains of Honduras. Eating Ceviche on the beaches of Costa Rica. Getting a drink at the drive-thru bars in Santo Domingo (and basically the four years I lived there). Enjoying the view from the Monkey Temple in Kathmandu. Feeding french fries to Cranes from the third story restaurant balcony at KL Bird Park in Malaysia. Eating Fish and Chips with a draft Guinness at The White Hart in Croydon, United Kingdom. I keep remembering one thing after another and I guess I better stop or this could go on for a while.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't hesitate to embrace change in any situation. No matter how bad it seems, your Higher Power (or the Universe if you will) have only your best interest at heart even when life seems like it's taking a dump on you. It's during those times that we often tend to miss the opportunity staring us right in the face!!!
