About Me
First-time Couchsurfer! 🙋🏾♀️
I'm a recent law-school graduate who is very excited to have the bar exam done and out of the way! Looking forward to traveling to India for a month before I start working so I can visit my relatives in Chennai and go sightseeing with my dear friend from college, Victoria. I have been to India before, but this will be my first time traveling without my family and without a wedding to attend, so it will be a special trip.
I grew up half in Iowa and the other half in Florida. I went to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for undergrad, which is where Victoria and I met. After undergrad, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and Chicago, Illinois, before moving to Anchorage, Alaska. I LOVED my nearly two years in Anchorage, where I fell in love with hiking and had the honor of working with refugees who came to the United States from around the world. In law school, I was able to briefly live in Las Vegas, Nevada; Portland, Oregon; and Honolulu, Hawaii. My new job will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico, so I am really making my way around the United States.
Needless to say, I love moving around and meeting new people, and I am SUPER excited for this next adventure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a people person through and through. The best part of traveling is the people I meet. This is my first time on Couchsurfing, and I am excited because I’ve heard that CS makes it even easier to meet great people.
Interests
I am a big fan of being outdoors, though I am admittedly poorly adapted to warm weather. I consider myself a "baby hiker" because I am uncertain of my footing, but I will push myself to finish tough trails to earn my view. It has always been worth it!
I LOVE eating with friends who will share vegetarian dishes with me so we can try all the tasty things!
