About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stop biting my nails! To this end, I need to keep myself busy: travelling, chatting, meeting new (and old) people, reading, conquering the world... but busy!

ABOUT ME

I suppose that my friends would say I am easy-going, happy, and that I always try to make life easy for everyone around me. I would think my friends consider me funny and a good partner for living and traveling due to my good character... but asking them face to face to check it would not be fair experiment!

PHILOSOPHY

Make other people's life easier, in some sense, in any sense, and your's will also be for sure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel abroad, I want to get the best of a city I have never been in and of its people: so I participate as a surfer (or, as I see myself, as a cultural parasite!). I also participate as a host, to give back people a little bit of what I'm given during my trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Positive, always positive for now, both as a host and as a guest!

Interests

I like meeting new people from different countries (and I would like to be competent in more languages than Spanish, English and French to make this process easier!). I like music, cinema and reading, though I must admit my interests on the three are quite "demodé" (I am trying to get "updated" and I am trying to discover new bands!), and I like chatting about what I have watched/read. I love sports (watching and practicing, I mean), specially those that are some relationship with nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite pieces of art (if you could make such a list... which I cannot do actually):
- Book: "Cien años de soledad" ("One Hundred Years of Solitude"), by García Márquez. Or do I like "The Little Prince" more...?
- Movie: "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind", by Michel Gondry. Or do I prefer "Top Gun"...?
- Music: great fan of ProgRock bands and mainly of Jethro Tull... but my favourite album is probably "Dark side of the moon"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope that in a couple of years this list will change completely because I have done/seen amazing things... but two of the memories that I keep with special care are: 1) the feel that fills you when you finish a marathon, your first marathon, and 2) stopping for a moment, after a walk on the Great Wall, and realizing that I was in a place I always considerer "out of reach". As for "human" experiences, I will always remember the bittersweet sensation left by some great farewell parties... and the initial excitement and hope raised by the 15M movent of Madrid.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a couple of things about maths and electronical engineering. I can make a guitar sound not totally bad (mainly a classical guitar). And I can try to teach my language, of course!
