I grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand. At uni I studied performance music -I play a mean bassoon. After I finished undergrad I lived in Melbourne for just under two years. I moved there for a change of scene. In Melbourne I worked part time in a bookshop, but I was missing the intensive music life I moved back to Wellington, NZ for study. I then did further study in Long Island, New York, up until the combination of grad school and America was making me crazy so I came home. Now I live back in Wellington, work an office job, and play in the orchestra as needed.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had some great times at CS events in Melbourne, met and surfed with some CSers in India. Now I'm up for a coffee/drink in Wellington.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met with a couchsurfer in Amritsar. He showed me round the Golden Temple, even to the roof!
I stayed with a couchsurfer in Delhi for 3 nights and had a blast.
I stayed with a couchsurfer in Vancouver who was exceptionally generous, lending me a bike to go on adventures, and we had a great view of fireworks in the harbour from the rooftop.

兴趣

The requirements of my studies mean I spend a lot of my time these days reading and writing, thankfully I enjoy doing both! I still make time to get some exercise, especially with my dog, and find any excuse to travel for "academic" reasons.

Stewart Island. The tiny island at the bottom of New Zealand, it's mostly covered in native bush. I went there at the start of 2009 for a party and had a fantastic time.

Roghi Valley, Mt Kailash at night with a full moon. Across the valley the snow on the mountains glowed blue and looked so close.
