About Me
I'm a freelance illustrator from Utrecht. I recently graduated artschool and now I'm trying to combine practicing my arts with adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm pretty new on couchsurfing. I made a profile back in Spring 2013 when I wanted to live in Berlin for a few months. At the time living in a hostel while I was looking for an apartment, worked out perfectly.
The whole month of July I will travel with my friend Deva Vrijma through central Europe by bicycle. The cities we hope to encounter are Warsaw, Crakow, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. With probably tons of beautiful villages along the way!
Couchsurfing seems a great way to discover these places and meet great people who enjoy traveling, arts and can show us around.
Interests
Drawing, sketching, writing, sitting on a rock, sitting on a wooden raft, flying an air balloon, looking through an old binocular, sailing, getting to know people, getting inspired and inspire, cycling, the ocean, mountains, speaking a foreign language, ecological gardening, listening to music combined with the above :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2 years ago with a friend and study mate from artschool, I build a wooden raft on a small river. The river passes through villages and neighbourhoods where I grew up in and ends in the city of Utrecht, where I live now. Those 24hrs of drifting through this region, are still strongly on my mind. I saw the area I know so well, through a whole new perspective.
Adventure can be found across borders, but definitely also close to home.

England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, United States
