About Me

My name is Raluca, I'm a 22 years old woman.
I grew up in a small village in Romania.
I moved with my father and sister to Spain when I was 8 years old and I lived there for 10 years. When I was 18 years old I decided to move on my own to United Kingdom, where I worked as an aupair for 10 month, afterwards I decided to live on my own, have a job and an independent life. I'm currently traveling the world with my boyfriend Petr.
I am a really positive person, I always looks at the good side of all the situations. I strongly believe that every aspect in your life is defined by yourself and that if you want something enough you will find a way to get it. I'm always looking for something to do and getting out of my comfort zone, challenging myself everyday to grow up as a person. I find myself helping others as much as I can and I really enjoy being helpful to others.
My plan is to travel as long as I can, as I believe that exploring the world is a really good way to grow up as a person. I lived in three different countries and even tho I was little when I moved, that really defined the person who I am today, I am craving to learn and to explore other countries, cultures and to know all kind of people around the world, I am ready to open my mind a bit more.
We quit our jobs and we started a “as long as we can” trip around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to see the point of view my hosts have about the city I will visit. No one better than the locals to show you the city or to tell you the best or favorite parts of it. Also I think that people who join couchsurfing are more open minded about traveling and trusting people, it's easier to get along with such people. They understand that traveling is not that cheap and helping other in the process is a really good thing. You get to meet interesting people, share stories, make friends, learn a lot about them, the country and the culture. I only see good things about it!
I would love to accept guests, but for the moment I don't live in my own house and also we are traveling for now, so we will not have a permanent home.

Interests

I'm specially interested in photography, writing, music that makes me happy, good people and caring about our environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gavin DeGraw, James Bay and Twenty One Pilots are probably the only thing which goes through my ears nowadays.
Now You See Me, Inception, Shutter Island, U.N.C.L.E, Into The Wild, Big Fish, Unbroken, Whiplash.. this list will be endless, but to be honest, I have to be true to my self and add some teenage kind of thing movies, as I was one not a long time ago: The Spectacular Now, Love Rosie, If I Stay, Like Crazy, It's Kind of a Funny Story, The Maze Runner (this one should go to the book's list)
Books like, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Recently read Gone Girl. All the books of The Maze Runner saga. Clinical Fangs by E. L. Mathis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the last 311km of the Camino of Santiago, which is a walk across Spain.
And I did it again, this time 600km of the Camino De Santiago.
