ABOUT ME
I love trying out new things all the time. I would rather do something that maybe I'll later regret than regreting not doing it.
I find a lot of "food for thought" in doing voluntary work, and I was involved in various NGOs and projects in the past years. From the highschool magazine, to a small NGO where I coordinated an online magazine, to AEGEE, Let's Do it, Romania!, Cinema-Edu (a project that aims to educate teenagers through cinematography, provoking them to discussions) etc.
I have two Bachelor degrees, one in Marketing and one in Advertising and Communication.
I am an Account Executive at Leo Burnett Romania - that means I am kind of a project manager in advertising :)
I am studying Anthropology in Master Degree (and I hope I will be able to switch from client service to strategy in a the next years).
When I am in a good mood I laugh a lot, very loud and contagious. I really like beer, sometimes I compete against guys :) Of course, partying as well.
I am not a religious person at all, and I don't like religious nerds; anyone can feel as they want, but I don't appreciate people who try to impose their points of views on such subjective matters.
+ I love mountain trips but I often don't find the time or a proper group to go with.
PHILOSOPHY
Have no regrets!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the moment, I can only offer city tours and a party companion + recommending someone else for a couch. I cannot wait for the moment I will be able to live in a place where I can invite as many interesting people as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't have much couchsurfing experience (just once in Brussels), but I have been sleeping in numerous "weird" places - from airports, to bars - because I had no other option, not because of being too drunk (Coimbra, Porto) and gyms (with my student organization, AEGEE).
Centres d'intérêt
Traveling, because it's the only way to spend money and become richer. I believe you learn and grow immensely by meeting others, seeing new people and having new experiences. I get inspiration and happiness from that.
Photography - I really like making experiments, especially when I have a co-photographer along. I couldn't invest in this passion for a long time, however, because I chose traveling.
Reading (I like owning all the books I read and I dream of having my own library room one day).
Going to music festivals and concerts + to urban/ street festivals
The seaside gives me an awesome vibe. I am a summer person -all good things happen in summer.
I like discovering small, interesting pubs with personality.
I love boardgames.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I could write for days and not finish this section.
MUSIC - rock of all types: Queen, Led Zep, Scorpions, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Haggard, grunge loves: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, some punk and some indie sometimes. I also like Kings of Leon, MGMT, Biffy Clyro, Damien Rice, Mumford and Sons, Placebo, Band on Horses, Them Crooked Vultures, Alice in Chains, Silverchair. The Ramones, Billy Talent, Iggy Pop. Rammstein. Zaz. The Killers. Anti-Flag. Creedence Clearwater Revival. Leonard Cohen. A lot of varied stuff. I appreciate good and varied taste in music, I enjoy jazz and experimental stuff sometimes + hippie music.
BOOKS - My fave author is Mario Vargas Llosa. I find his writing incredible, truthful and realistic, I just love its simplicity and complexity, simple through the facts presented, complex through the multitude of points of view of different characters. I also like a lot Dostoievski, George Orwell, Marin Preda, John Fowles, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Arriaga, Gunther Grass, Mihail Bulgakov, Patrick Suskind, Aldous Huxley.
MOVIES - My fav directors are Darren Aronofsky (especially with Requiem for a Dream), Pedro Almodovar (especially Mala Education and La Piel qui Habito) and Reiner Werner Fassbinder (can't set my mind on a favourite one, they're wonderful).
other favourites:
Into the Wild, La Mome, Jeux d'Enfants, Big Fish, The Life of Others, 12 Monkeys, Biutiful, Incendies, 1984 (which I consider one of the very few ecranizations that respect the atmosphere of the book), The Illusionist, La Vita e Bella, 1900, Frida, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, The Marriage of Maria Braun, Filantropica, Closer, Die Fremde, Gegen die Wand, Hable con Ella, Y tu Mama Tambien, Children of Men, Stranger than Fiction.... many, many others. I am in love with cinematography.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
