Overview
About Me
I am an Environmental Researcher and a seasoned professional in the citizen science and conservation space. As the Head of Citizen Engagement at The Naturalist School, I lead citizen science programs, notably expanding the City Nature Challenge to over 200 cities in India. I am a PhD Scholar at TransDisciplinary University studying Citizen Science for Biodiversity Documentation.
On an international scale, I serve as Secretary for three working groups (UNEP World Environment Situation Room, UN Environment Assembly, Climate Change Mitigation) within the Citizen Science Global Partnership, where I collaborate with various UN agencies. I also serve as Education Director at CitizenScience.Asia, where I founded the Asia Nature Challenge.
I work with organizations like IUCN, iNaturalist, the National Biodiversity Authority, and WWF-India. I am also involved in initiatives like Tiger Beetle Watch, which showcase my comprehensive efforts to advance citizen science for species Red List assessments and other biodiversity documentation.
Previously, as an Engineering Lead at Arcesium India, I volunteered for Mozilla's Open Source projects. I was a Mozilla Tech Speaker and a Mozilla Representative, and I have spoken at various international events, including SHA Netherlands, FOSSASIA Singapore, MozFest London, JSFoo India, WebVR Hawaii, and Mozilla TS Meetup Paris.
I am an adventurer and explorer at heart, with a passion for mountaineering, cycling, and travel.
