About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, and experience what the world has to offer

ABOUT ME

I'm a very relaxed guy, and I try to keep myself open to whatever experience may come my way. Beyond that, I'm definitely pretty high on the nerd scale, and would rather hang out with a small, intimate group than be out in the din of nightlife.

As part of my travels, I'm producing a podcast called "The World as We See It" (now on iTunes!) where our host Skypes in to interview/chat with the interesting people I meet on my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Maximize happiness; minimize suffering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have a couch, I host, but for now I'm on the road and meeting up with and surfing with other CSers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of yet, I have only met a few couchsurfers. I have not yet surfed, but I did some hosting before I started my venture and had a blast doing it.

Interests

History, games, gadgetry, nature, people... My interests are wide and varied. I'm sure we have something in common.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I like Memento and Fight Club for similar reasons, but a lot of my favorite movie-going experiences have been to Pixar films, so make of that what you will.

Music - My musical tastes are fairly varied, but they have the deepest representation in nerdish music, folk rock, and the older rock a la Billy Joel & Elton John

Books - I tend to read non-fiction, and, as of late, it's usually stuff that I heard about on NPR while I was at work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Though I was but a wee lad at the time, I was quite impressed when I went to see Mt Rushmore. I know there are more impressive statues in the world (e.g The Motherland Calls) and I'd love to see those as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can open bananas from the bottom (well, the top based on how they grow) by pinching it. This method has always given me two roughly even pieces of peel, and you never have to worry about accidentally ripping the stem off.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Canada, Cayman Islands, Germany, Jamaica, Netherlands Antilles

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
