About Me

CURRENT MISSION

WE ARE NOT IN SALEM TOWN. WE LIVE 65 Km away.
Living in our Organic farm.

ABOUT ME

I follow my heart rather than my mind. I have been out of the mainstream and been exploring everything alternative. We homeschooled our children; we are organic farmers; our house is solar powered. We harvest rainwater. . .

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing belongs to me.I have hired many of these and I will have to leave them sometime :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a beautiful house in a remote village. We offer simple stay and food for people who would like to touch base with nature. WE ARE NOT IN SALEM TOWN. We are 65 km away in a hill station. So If you are looking for a place in Salem, please check someone else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a few travellers. Has been an enlightening experience. I have also been a guest in Kenya and Nigeria. . .

Music, Movies, and Books

Carnatic, Soft pop, instrumental music. Love books - a whole lot of them. Power of Now, my experiments with Truth, Long walk to freedom, Zen and the art of motor cycle maintenance, Totochan, John Holt's books, Commentaries on Living, Serious Tamil literature. . .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first micro hydro project. We did this for a residential school in 1997. I was so happy when the tap was turned and the lights came on! After this, I have been at it ever since and get my reward every time when the tribal people for whom I work mostly shout in excitement when they see lights in their villages. . .

Teach, Learn, Share

a little bit of origami, chess, Solar energy, micro hydro power, organic farming, indian cuisine, etc

What I Can Share with Hosts
