About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the corners of the country I've never seen- particularly the South, to meet new people there, to better know myself, and to have a kick ass time doing it
ABOUT ME
I'm between things in life right now, exploring the country, seeing old friends and making new ones. I talk too much sometimes, I love to laugh and dance. I love cooking, anything outdoors, sunshine, gardening, I'm trying to learn guitar. I want to get to know the country as you don't see it in movies, hopefully as it really is. I have traveled, worked and lived all over the place, and love meeting new people and hearing new ideas and perspectives. I'm starting an art journal of the places I've been and the places I will go.
I'm doing this trip alone right now, and it's been amazing and challenging, and sometimes difficult. I am open to others who might want to join me for a while btw!
PHILOSOPHY
Listen, talk, learn, think.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted a LOT of people in Hawaii, in one of those big houses that a million people live in, and because of this, I know what makes a good house guest and what can make a draining one... So! As a house guest, I try to be extremely conscientious of my hosts, their space and their schedules. I am clean and tidy, I like to cook, help out with dishes and make big delicious breakfasts :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have traveled all over the world and couchsurfed just through meeting people, and friends of friends, for... almost a decade! I've never couchsurfed through this site, but I'm hoping this will be a great place to network and meet new people and fellow travelers! I have also hosted lots of friends of friends and such, but again not through Couchsurfer. As soon as I'm more settled though, I'd love to host as well.
Interests
I lived on the Big Island for the last two years, so I got SO used to being outside all day! I love to be in the sunshine, to garden, to run, surf, swim, climb, snowboard, backpack, hike, anything outside. I love to try new things. I LOVE any kind of game. Doesn't matter what. Board games, charades, cards, poker, anything. Especially new games I've never played. I'm trying to make art and music a bigger part of my life. I just got a little guitar to take on the road!!

Music, Movies, and Books
V for Vendetta, Bridget Jones´ Diary, R.E.D., Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Office, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Eiffel 65, Beatles, Hilltop Hoods, Cat´s Cradle, 1984, Just listened to The Da Vinci Code and Cold Mountain on audiobook...loved them. Listening to Zorro right now. So far so good
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a live turantula in my mouth once.
I ice skated on an outdoor rink in Yosemite a couple weeks ago. I saw a 15 foot cactus in Tucson!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know lots of riddles. and lots of games. I can teach you how to play poker. I can play lots of basic songs on the guitar that I can teach. I'm a good listener. I can teach basic rock climbing technique. I was a house painter for 3 months so I can teach you to paint semi-professionally. I know a lot about Alaska and Hawaii, since I lived there, so I can tell you about all the good spots to visit and things to do!
I want to learn to be a better painter (art painter), and learn more on guitar. If you work in an anything to do with environmental policy, I am looking to get into a related field, and would love to hear about what you do.
