ABOUT ME

Happiness is the meaning of life; it is not the things that make us happy, but our ability to find and create happiness out of those things; the greatest thing to find happiness in is other people. Trust is the most important gift that we have been endowed with; it is up to us to realize this and apply in our relationships with other people as well as ourselves. While I am new to couchsurfing.org, I am certainly not new to either couchsurfing or hosting. I have traveled to about 55 countries, or so, I have sailed the 7 seas, I have driven cross country in at least 5 countries (including 14 times cross country in the USA). I love to meet people and my favorite thing to do is to expose their vulnerabilities and passions and see the truth underneath... and fall in love with it.

PHILOSOPHY

Art is the act of creating and not necessarily the actual creation. The greatest art is the art of living. We have the ability to create our lives in any way that we want to. However, it is not always as simple as snapping our fingers and becoming the people that we truly aspire to become; sometimes it takes many years of practice before we can become our choices. It is important to make choices that support ourselves instead of those that take away from who we are.

Intereses

I am an artist (mainly oil paint portraits and landscapes), a musician (mainly guitar, harmonica, bass, and a little bit of drums), a traveler (roughly 55 countries), a martial artist (capoeira, shotokan, boxing, some grappling), and this simply scratches the surface of my interests!
