About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore my home city of Boston in the same way I discover foreign places when I'm living abroad or traveling as a tourist. I also want to practice Spanish, Chinese, Italian as much as possible so I don't forget my languages!

ABOUT ME

Tangibles: I am a Boston-area native who has lived/taught/studied for years in Italy, China and Colombia.

Intangibles: I'm easy-going, committed to trying new things, and meeting new people. Make me laugh or think and I will never forget it.

PHILOSOPHY

Being able to look back at a moment and not have regrets is what matters down the road.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies and TV are some of my favorite things in the world! To list a few of the ones I could watch any day of the week: Forrest Gump, The Fall, American Beauty, La Vita è Bella, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Anything directed by the Cohen Brothers, or Tarantino.

Music: Grew up to 90's jams, love a lot of different artists from various genres. Don't know many groups far from the mainstream but I love being exposed to new stuff!

Books: Kurt Vonnegut has to be my favorite author, but I also love so many books that have resonated with me at various points in my life: Ender's Game, Snow Falling on Cedars, Middlesex, Growing Up...etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught english to Italian children for 4 summers. Climbed the tallest volcano in Indonesia. Slept in a Khyrgyz yurt on the border of Pakistan and China next to glaciers. Played in Ultimate Frisbee tournaments in Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong and more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: brain-teasers and mind games that will make you think differently and give you an "Ah-HAH!" moment.

Learn: Cooking! Since moving to Italy I found that I love to cook and learn new recipes and dishes. If you host me I will gladly cook for you, but I prefer to cook WITH you.
