ABOUT ME

I'm a dude, a husband, a Finnish national, a half-Persian, a Bahá'í, a world citizen, a human, a student, a dancer, and probably something else I can't remember now :P.However, I should probably talk more about us, since we almost always travel together and also live together. We (Jenni and I) are a young married couple who care about understanding more of life, universe and everything. We enjoy having our home open to friends and almost all the time have some of them visiting our house for a cup of [enter refreshment here] and company. We don't enjoy alcoholic beverages but compensate by being naturally lively and talkative ;).

PHILOSOPHY

"Let each morn be better than its eve, and each morrow richer than its yesterday. Man's merit lieth in service and virtue and not in the pageantry of wealth and riches"I'm a member of the Bahá'í faith. A religion which above all advocates independent search after truth. This has helped me to adopt a mindset of investigating the reality through my own understanding and experiences. I value open mindedness and genuine care for the truth. I admire moral courage: people who live up to the ideals they speak about, people whose deeds are more abundant than their words. I think self-development is achieved by overcoming with patience, gratitude and resolution whatever hardships and challenges life throws at you, whether intellectual, physical or social.

We have not yet surffed or hosted anybody. A change is hopefully about to come to that.

So far my experiences are limited to the homepage :). I must say it has been a bit confusing an experience and I've had troubles finding my friends' profiles.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like books that change the way I think. I also read books for pure entertainment. I haven't read as many books as I've wanted because I'm lazy. Some books that are good: The Black Swan, The Silmarillion, The Dawn Breakers, Animal Farm and Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.I love watching movies, especially in a company. The only genre I abhor is horror movies. For some reason I can't watch them. That imagination of a little boy still lives in me apparently. I watch movies mainly for entertainment, although sometimes they can really provoke good discussions, new thoughts or fresh inspiration. Some movies I liked: Dances with Wolves, Ice Age, Falling Down, Master and Commander, Rainman, Star Wars 4-6, A Few Good Men, Matrix, Crimson Tide, Apollo 13, Indiana Jones and most of Coen brothers' and Monty Python productions.We are not one of those who have music in the background all the time. We are not active listeners in that sense. When we do listen we have a very similar taste and we like for example Red Hot Chili Peppers, Leevi and the Leavings, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Manu Chao, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Queen, Disney Songs, Abba and various ballad classics.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

We can teach you steps in most ballroom and latin dances. I can also teach you to skate and play ice hockey if the occasion ever presents itself. Myself I would very much like to learn singing.
