Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Ramiro.
I am an artist living in between Peru and Austria, depicting myself or writing about me is not my specialty, so here goes nothing. I've been working as an art director/production designer for film, fashion and advertising for the past 8 years. I spend most of my time reading, listening to music, and finding myself useful when I'm not sleeping which sometimes I can do a lot.
I don't believe that time "takes care" or "heals" things, or that you have to wait and let things happen, I believe on making things happen.
to be continued.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm 32 years old, heard about couch surfing many years back and have had many experiences traveling and meeting people, specially in Vienna the first time I landed there. I am currently working in a theory about displacement and this is why couch surfing is one of the most important tools in this journey. Meeting new people can be easy, really knowing them is more difficult and making a portrait of a stranger can be an imposible task which I am trying to accomplish, in this more-than-hard pursuit your help will be more than welcomed.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't think I have a favorite anything, but there is music I love, from rock, indie, folk, house, to classical, jazz and swing. Bob Dylan, Julia Holter , Band of Skulls, The Kills, Radiohead, David Bowie, PJ Harvey, Jack White, St. Vincent, Screaming' Jay Hawkins, Lorde, Snoop Lion, Iggy Azalea, Jozef Van Wissem, Interpol, BRMC, The Black Keys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blood Red Shoes, Cat Power, Daniel Johnston, Devendra Banhart, The Horrors, Hans Zimmer, Juana Molina, etc.
When it comes to books, or general writing for that matter, I think I would pick: Haruki Murakami, Blanca Varela, Jack Kerouac, Burroughs, Truman Capote, Rimbaud, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Ramon Ribeyro, Albert Camus, Baudrillard, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drop out of engineering school and left home for an art major.
